BLUMEN IM MÄRZ by Karin Döring is a lively and colorful work of art that immediately captivates the viewer. In the center of the square painting there is a suggestion of a circle formed by the painting's strong structures and lines. The abstract flowers loosen up the overall picture and give it a certain depth.
 
The application of paint, which the artist applies to the canvas with a brush and spatula and her hands, initially becomes flowing thanks to the added water. This flow is repeatedly redirected by the artist over many hours   and restructured with paint. This makes the painting a harmonious yet very lively work of art.

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark.
