WHEN I GROW UP
 
The painting is a work by contemporary artist Karin Döring from the HUMAN STRIPES series. 
The series is very complex to create, the complete work of art is painted twice, the artist tapes the STRIPES between the two painting stages.
 
The idea and technique of the STRIPES arose during the work process and is a completely new art technique that Karin Döring developed and uses herself. The goal of this series is to engage people and create vibrant art that can be experienced.
 
This work of art was painted by Karin Döring  in her studio in Schwäbisch Hall and completed together with the visitors of the vernissage in October 2022 in Schwäbisch Hall.

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark.
