Just a toothpick was the trigger and the idea for this portrait of a woman from the FACES series. Realized by the artist with acrylic paints and paint spatula on canvas. The eyes are particularly important to the artist in her portraits, they are always the focus and follow the viewer everywhere. In this work, the artist plays with strong color accents and skillfully works out the details.

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark.
