Marilyn Monroe was one of the most famous and photographed women in the world of her time. She was never able to completely free herself from her image of the naive, inexperienced, attractive blonde. Only after her death was her performance as an actress recognized by critics. She died at the age of 36. The exact circumstances of Monroe's death remain unclear to this day.
