IN MY THOUGHTS is a work from the FACE series, in which the artist creates her almost photorealistic portraits of women in strong orange, purple and pink tones. The portrait artist Karin Döring paints the works in this series entirely with a paint spatula/painting knife and acrylic paints on canvas.

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark.
