The painting FLUENTLY FLOAT by the artist Karin Döring is painted in the stripe technique (HUMAN STRIPES technique) she developed.
The artist first paints the portrait, then applies the tape and then completely covers the painting with another layer. Finally, the tapes are removed again and the finished work of art appears almost three-dimensional.
 
In this work, the artist placed a "river" of color on the modern portrait of a woman, which is kept in retro colors and expressively deepens the mood of the painting.

I purchased one of Karin's first paintings a few years ago. It was a portrait that immediately spoke to me and captivated me. Since then, more of Karin's works have found a place in our home. I think it's great that she experiments, evolves her art, and thus stands out from other artists. With her special works from the HUMAN STRIPES series, she has definitely hit the mark.
